Eugene Thurman “Gene” Upshaw, Jr. (August 15, 1945 – August 20, 2008) was an American professional football player. He attended Robstown High School in Robstown, Texas. In high school, Upshaw played for both his football and baseball teams. He is well known for being the Oakland Raider’s left guard and the only player in NFL history to reach the Super Bowl with the same team in three different decades.
