Ronald WilliamRonHoward (born March 1, 1954) is an actor and director. He graduated with the class of 1972 from John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California. In high school, he played on the basketball team and was part of his school’s public relations committee. Howard’s first claim to fame was as Opie Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show. He later scored a leading role on the popular sitcom Happy Days. After a six year run on Happy Days Howard moved into the role of director for which he would eventually be recognized with an Academy Award and an Oscar.
