Best Virtual Cast Reunions

May 29, 2020 · CLASSMATES FUN

Catching up with your friends virtually has never been as popular as it is now, and celebrities are doing it too.

The cast of some of your favorite movies and tv shows have come together for virtual reunions, and here are our favorites. You can also check out the yearbook photos of some of these actors!

Desperate Housewives

Marcia Cross, Brenda Strong, Eva Longoria, Dana Delany, and Vanessa Williams conferenced in for a Desperate Housewives reunion for a YouTube series called “Stars in the House” that benefits the Actors Fund Charity. Unfortunately, Teri Hatcher wasn’t present, but we did find this throwback yearbook photo of her at Fremont High School in 1982.

We also dug into our archives and found Marcia Cross in 1980 and Eva Longoria in 1992.

You can watch the reunion on YouTube here.

Parks and Recreation

The full cast of Parks and Recreation returned for a scripted special episode to raise money for food banks. The reunion made us feel nostalgic, so we found some yearbook photos of Nick Offerman, Rob Lowe, and Chris Pratt. We also found Paul Rudd, who made guest appearances on the show and was in this special. You can watch it on Hulu here.

The cast of Community did a table read of a past episode to raise money for Covid-19 relief efforts, and then stayed on for a live question and answer session. Stars Ken Jeong and Joel McHale, who host a YouTube channel called “The Darkest Timeline,” also uploaded a virtual conversation with the cast. We found yearbook photos of Jeong and McHale, from 1986 and 1989, respectively. You can watch the videos on the Community YouTube channel, here.

The cast of the 1984 hit movie Splash reunited on actor Josh Gad’s YouTube channel “Reunited Apart,” including star Tom Hanks and director Ron Howard, whose yearbook photos are below. Also featured in the reunion were Daryl Hannah, Eugene Levy, and producer Brian Grazer. Actor Ryan Reynolds made a guest appearance to pay tribute to the late John Candy, who also starred in the movie but tragically passed away in 1994.

Back to the Future

In a different episode of Josh Gad’s show, he chatted with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, as well as Elizabeth Shue and Mary Steenbergen (from the third movie installment.) He even brought on singer Huey Lewis, who contributed to the movie’s soundtrack, and filmmaker J.J. Abrams, who wasn’t involved with the franchise but is a huge fan. We found yearbook pictures of Christopher Lloyd from 1958 and Mary Steenbergen from 1971.
