Laura's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended and graduated from Purdue. I held a number of positions in the midwest before starting my own lobbying business, The Arnold Group, in '84 working from my turn-of-the-century antiques-filled home in downtown Indianapolis and running a bed and breakfast, The Hoffman House, which I started in '90. No kids, no husband, two cats and a dog.
College

rural Indiana who thought Lafayette was a big city. I continued my environmental political activism opposing US Army Corps of Engineers dam projects proposed on Wildcat and Big Pine Creeks along with anti-nuclear power organizing. I became a year-round student working on NSF cadmium project in the Bionucleonics Deaprtment. I was quite the Purdue nerdette. Playing in the orchestra, backpacking, canoeing and wet suit river tubing were all activities I enjoyed during my college years.
