Rich's Story
While I'm sure the Q&A fits a lot of people......
It ain't me babe!
Half the questions/answers DNA.
Went right to work out of High School while attending CW Post College at night. Got married and had a baby son before I was 20. Have three sons from my first two marriages, and am currently happily married to my third wife. I started my first career as an Industrial engineer for a NJ Trucking company to pay the bills. Made quick progress and wound up being recruited by a transportation consulting company when I was 22. Two years later started my own consulting firm with a partner and that lasted 19 years with projects all over North America. After that I started a Trucking company that covered the Eastern half of the USA, and sold it 10 years later. I finished my career as an Executive VP and "C"...Expand for more
level leader for two major Trucking firms over a 14 year period..
Since I started powerboat racing as a kid on Flushing Bay, that became my avocation and I was privileged to be a factory backed outboard race driver. This led to starting two race boat manufacturing companies and a 30 year stint as a color commentator on boat racing TV programs.
I also write articles on various boating topics. I am currently completing a series of interviews covering Boat Racing icons for Sirius XM Radio.
I am semi retired with some consulting work and remain active in Vintage boat racing events. I am also Chairman of the American Piwerboat Association Offshore Racing Commission and an active Commissioner of the Union of International Motorboating, the World overseer for Powerboat Racing headquartered in Belgium.
