Carole's Story

Wow! Where to begin. I've been in Florida since 1972, bringing my 3 girls and husband who had MS, with me. Al's health deteriorated as did his mental health and sadly, we divorced in 1980 after 22 years of marriage. There were many hard times but the good definitely outweighed the bad and my girls have always been the light of my life. Three years later, I remarried Charles, a lieutenant on the fire department and long story short, we were married for 32 years, making our crafts, me the artist/painter and he the woodworker. Before retirement, I was a Medical Office Manager/Transcriptionist for 25 years. After retirement, we joined the Art community, putting up our artist tent and selling our paintings/crafts and dong quite well. Eventually, when health took over, and we could no longer stay on the artist's circuit, I painted plaques and displayed them at a local airport restaurant and gave the proceeds to a local food pantry. I have been very close to my 3 girls, two of whom homeschooled their children and so far, have graduated with high honors and two are planning on going to Guatamala on a missi...Expand for more
ons trip to find the direction God wants them to go in for their future education. I have 7 grandchildren and 2 greatgrands and love them dearly. I have continued my singing, as I am a soloist in my church as well as have performed for other functions throughtout the community. I have worked with the homeless, sharing Christ with them to show them there is hope in their future, I have worked with shutins and greeting ministries within churches I have attended. I lost my husband this past February 2015 and have now begun a new chapter in my life, one of being alone for the first time and find it quite challenging. I know God has a plan and I keep busy, making new friends in this new single world and new adventures that lay ahead, and yet, cherish the memories I do have. I just turned 76 but feel 46(wish the body felt that way. lol) and will always be crazy Car, as some classmates uses to call me. Still love to laugh and see the happy side of life and would love t hear from any one that would like to communicate. God Bless the class of 1958. Much health and happiness to all. Carole Owen Ingle
