Cynthia's Story
Life
My husband since 2002: Earnie Fortner. (I kept my maiden name). Earnie owns his own taxidermy business. He also had worked for Cabela's for several years creating new mounts for the new stores they were building around the country. He went back on his own a couple of years ago, and we just built a new building for the business this past year.
My Kids
Daughter Jessica: lives in Brownsdale, MN with her fiancee, Mike Roberts. She has blessed me with 2 grandkids: Chase and Katie, who are 16 months apart. I try to babysit whenever I can-but have to admit they can wear grandma out! Mike has custody of his 3 kids from his first marriage. So, they have one BUSY household!Jess seems to take it all in stride, though! She works at a floral shop in Austin, MN.

-Ryan lives near Sioux Falls, SD and works for several counties in SD in Soil and Water Conservation.
-Trent: attending Bemidji State in Bemidji, MN majoring in history.
My Job
I work at an Insurance company as a health and dental claims supervisor. It's a different challenge every day! But, the company is good to their employees and I enjoy the people I work with. I also make craft items and take orders or do consignments in several different gift shops in the area. My husband also does chain saw carving, so he has carved some items and I've painted them. Doing all the outside tasks on our acreage and doing the carving and painting keeps us very busy and could be a full-time job on its own!
