Helen's Story
Life
Teaching was a wonderful career choice, but, I'm finding it's great to not have to follow a schedule any more. If you're ever in Kennewick, give me a call I'm in the phonebook.
I have two sons born in 1971 and 1973. The youngest lives in Camas, WA, with his wife and my beautiful grandson who was born in 2003. I don't see him as often as I'd like. My oldest is in Washington, DC, working on his doctorate in Science Technology Public Policy. (You'll have to ask him what that's all about. I'm clueless even though he's explained it to me many times. :-D)
I'm divorced and enjoying the single life to its fullest. I belong to a great singles group. We do a lot of fun activities throughout each month. It's a socailizing group not a dating group.
I'm finding that life is much more fun now than it was back in the '60's. Anyone else agree with me on that??? I'm working on our 50th reunion committee. The reunion will be the weekend of July 19, 2013. It will be a wee...Expand for more
kend full of activities starting with a no-host get together on Friday and ending with a picnic on Sunday. Hope you all can attend. Don Rodman is heading up the committee. Other members of the committee besides Don and me are Don Rinck, Bob Shaber, John Daniel, and Cheryl Roach Miller. Feel free to contact any of us, or better yet come to one of our meetings. We meet the first Saturday of the month at Don Rodman's office in the valley off of Sprague. Google him to get the address. Classmates won't let me include my email or Don's office address. I am on Facebook as Helen Miller Bruggeman.
Travelling is number one on my list. In 2012, my oldest son and I traveled to Tennessee to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the battle of Shiloh in April. We were at Fort Sumter in April of 2011 for that celebration. He and I love doing historical trips. He's a great travel companion. This year we'll be going to Vicksburg in May.
I sure enjoy finding "old" classmates on Facebook.
