Audrey's Story

Life I haven't been doing too much lately. I am currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. I hope one day to work with the FBI on missing persons cases. I joined an organization called Perverted-Justice.com. Their main goal is to catch internet predators preying on minors. They are a successful organization and work with law enforcement all over the United States and other countries to catch the predators and prosecute them to the fullest. School I didn't have a crush on anyone in school. As a matter of fact, I couldn't stand most of the people I went to school with then. Although there are still a few people I cannot stand, I'm not like I was in high school. I have a different outlook on life and seem to be happier now. I would have to say that Patsy Goode inspired me the most in high school. I was in her Algebra class and then was her assistant in another class. She taught me that it was very important to focus on school and other things going on in my life. She helped me prioritize my responsibilities. Thank you, Mrs. Goode, for everything. Because of you, I am at the point in my life where I want to be. If I had to do it all over again, yes, I would. I goofed off in high school and barely passed. Then after graduation I was sad because I missed that part of my life. I went to college two months after graduation, where I made the President and the Dean's list more than once. I graduated with a 3.62 GPA and with honors. That was a major change from my 1.67 in high school. I guess when you are paying for college, well, you want to do your best, otherwise it is money wasted. College I went to a technical college. I didn't have to deal with cafeterias, roommates, or whatever else university students deal with. My college days primarily consisted of going to school and then coming home and studying. I lost touch with everyone from high school in college because I didn't have time to socialize. I regret it now but I am satisfied with what I accomplished. I graduated in August of 2001 with a 3.62 GPA and honors. I am currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. To Mr. Kimbrell: You were a wonderful teache...Expand for more
r. I thank you for shedding your wisdom and knowledge on me every day. I thank you for sharing your "blunt" and sometimes rude personality and attitude with me. There's not a thing about you that I would change. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you for some reason. Sometimes a word or phrase that I hear, or something that I see, reminds me of you. You taught me to never settle for anything except my best and to push myself to achieve my dreams. I thank God for you every day. I am so honored that he brought you into my life. I am sure that your other students feel the same. We will all miss you Mr. Kimbrell. I hope that you are on that sandy beach with that margarita in your hand and just soaking up the heavenly sun. I know that God truly has an angel on his team. I will see you again one day, Mr. Kimbrell. Thank you again for everything. Tell God and my Grandpa that I love them. Ms. McDonald "Ms. Mac": I also want to thank you for being a wonderful college teacher. You were unique in your teaching. You taught me that I could accomplish anything as long as I tried. I am sorry about how that college treated you and I still don't think it was fair. But I know that you are more happier now than when you were teaching at that school. I hope that we cross paths again one day in life so that I can thank you in person. Workplace My first job was flipping burgers at McDonalds. That career was cut short after the death of my grandfather. My second job was at Knight's grocery. That was a fun time. I enjoyed being able to meet the public and talk with the older folks. Then WalMart. Well I enjoyed hanging out with some of the employees and meeting new people, but I hated the actual job. I quit work while in college. All of my time went towards studying. After college I worked at a few different medical clinics. I worked for certain doctors and I would have to say my favorite was Dr. Houston. I enjoyed meeting new people, and my patients were my life. I miss all of my patients now that I am not working. I am currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice where I one day hope to work for the FBI on missing persons cases.
