Paul's Story
Went to work after HS in NYC for 6 months, then left for Albany Ny to go to work, Uncle sam was looking for me for the draft (1953) so, I joined the Usaf and stayed in for a total of 24 years. Retired from USAF in Apr 1977 at griffiss afb, Rome, NY. I went back to college for a few years and then went work at Griffiss as a civilian, retired again when they closed the base in Sept 1995. I have been married twice, my first wife is from Canada she, divorced me in 1970 when i was at Pleiku AB Vietnam. I stayed single fro five years and remarried. My second wife is from Korea. Iwas there from 1974 until 1976. We have been married for almost 35 years.
I have 6 children, One is a teacher who lives in Tex, One ...Expand for more
who is teacher who lives in Minn, One who is a nurse who works for the Army in CO. her husband is a career army type and one son in Wis. who is a carpenter. These are from my first marriage.
My other children resides in this ara\ea, my son is asurgical Tech who works in the OR in Rome, NY hosp. and finally my daughter who works as a nuse in Utica, Ny
It is a sad thing when you leave and not really return because everyone forgets you but, I guess that the way life goes.
One thing that the Q&A doesn't show and that is bowling which I quite alot of.
I did alot of traveling while in the military, I was assigned to 16 different base but, never got to Europe.
