Tina's Story
Life-Updated
I'm back in Vegas as a supervisor in Long Term Care at the State Hospital. I never thought I would love it, but I love my residents to pieces. I wouldn't change it for the world.
I had a career in law enforcment for the past 15 years or so. I was a dispatcher/supervisor and also a police officer. I also worked the other end of communications with the EMS Bureau. I handled all the radio systems for the hospitals throughout the state. I verified all the radio equipment was working properly in all New Mexico emergency rooms and at the mountain top repeater towers so air and ground units would always have contact during emergencies. I also licensed Emergency Medical Dispatchers and First Responders. The job was extremely challenging and it kept me on my toes. I enjoyed the travel.
I've been with my husband almost 18 1/2 years. Our children are......lol......our dogs. Shhhhh........Don't tell them that, because they don't know they are DOGS. ;0) We have enough nieces and nephews to keep us as busy as parents.

If I could do it all over again, I would have stayed in Urbana, Illinois longer than I did.

llinois:
My biggest crush????? I'll never tell!!!! All I will say is he had shoulder length feathered hair and I had a couple of classes with him.
In Illinois:
My english teacher, Mrs. Scheitzell, was my greatest inspiration. She gave me the inspiration to keep on writing and always have imagination. She was an awesome teacher.
One of my favorite activities was spending Friday nights with my neighborhood friends at the roller skating rink in Savoy, Illinois. I was the only girl in the group. I was a pure tomboy back then. Those are memories to remember for a life time.
My Best Friends In Illinois:
I also enjoyed spending time with my best friends from school,Selena and Kristin. We would go to the Carson Mall, try on clothes, eat pizza at Garcia's Pizza and just hang out. My best friends away from school were Matt O'Hanlon and Sergei Latif (my roller skating partners).
My Best Friend in New Mexico:
My best of all best friends was and always will be to this day, Janel. We were attached at the hip before I got married and started working out of town. Now, text, text, text, but that's okay, she knows I still love her. ;0)
