Laura's Story
Life
I live in Cache Valley in a small town called Millville. My husband works for SDL/USU as an EE.
We have 3 children, Robert -32 is in the US Army and was activated for the Winter Olymipics and moved to Salt Lake . He was stationed in Fort Carson, Co for 18 months to help with the war in Iraq in Feb 2003. He went to Kwaite for 12 months from Oct 2006 to Oct 2007 He is back in Salt Lake at Fort Douglas. Ellen -31-is also married and she and her husband live in Preston ID. They had our first granddaughter, Rylee Jo, soon to be 9 on May 31, 2001,and on May 11, 2004 she gave us our 3rd granddaughter, Bailyn Grace who is 7. Teresa-30-lives in Meced CA with she has 2 children son Justin, 12 yrs, our first grandchild and only grandson, so far, and on Jan 14, 2004 she gave us our 2nd granddaughter, Alexis Jayden wow is now 7 yrs old.
I am active in the Cub Scouts in my Church and District and enjoy it very much. I am the Webelos Leader and on the Elk Horn District Round Table Training Staff and Basic Training Staff. It is a blast.
I work in the Email Department in the customer service department of Icon Health and Fitness in Logan UT.
When I went home for our class 30 yr reunion in 2004 I forgot I was 48yrs old and thought...Expand for more
that I could still do what I did way back when and jumped of a cliff at Lower Goose Lake (50 ft high) and broke my back because I did not go in the water stright. Spent 3 weeks in the hospital in Spokane. I was very lucky I broke it where I did. (I shattered my L1 vertabre and cracked T11 & T12. I now have two Titaimun rods and five brackets with screws holding my spine together).I can still walk but I will never forget what a stupid stunt that was and I will never jump again. I also know when the weather is going to be stormy and it is no fun.
As you can see by my picture, I enjoy doing needelpoint and the pictures in the back of me are my favorite ones, so much in fact, I did another set of the Indian Chief and Indian Maiden(the one you can't see) for my mom.
I also like to go ATVing around here and up in the mountains but only when it is warm. Do not like to do things that have to do with snow. I love to look at the snow and it makes the valley beautiful but I do not ski and have never been on a snowmobile.
I also like to scuba dive but have never been diving in warm water except once we went diving in Monteray Bay but it was kinda rough water that day. All of the rest of my diving has been in Utah lakes. Cold water!!
