Penny's Story
Life
My Kids
I have a son Robbie,(27) who lives with his father(poor thing), and I have a daughter, Brianna(21)grandson Malikai.(1). My son Robbie was killed in a tragic car accident on January 16, 2014 in Waterville Washington. He was 27. RIP my son.
My Job
I work at a plant that shapes silicon and germanium for infrared optic laser components and semi conductors...etc. I am a machine operator for this company. I had worked there 9 years. In June of 2005 I moved to Salem Oregon, where I worked for Hewlett Packard in Corvallis Oregon. This particular plant is a R & D plant, and we also make ink cartridges for HP printers. It was a very interesting job and I liked it alot, and yes...I am still operating machinery, only on a much higher level now. This compamy is much larger than the company I worked for in Montana. HP Corvallis has 3500 employees.......Lattice in Mo...Expand for more
ntana had about 40. Anyway this is the first time I have lived outside of Montana...and I love it here. I have the best of all worlds here..mountains...ocean....big city...country....and a better school system for my daughter.
UPDATE: I no longer work for HP in Corvallis. I work for a semiconductor company in Hillsboro Oregon, just outside of Portland. Same type of work....pays much better. A little more dangerous. Work with Arsnide..as in arsnic. Along with bad chemicals such as sulferic acid.
Life: In 1994 I became very sick. I was critical..with a 50/50 chance of survival, and was in a coma for 10 days. I am very fortunate to be alive today, and I am reminded daily how precious life really is. I jokingly told a Luthern priest at the hospital before I left that: Heaven didn't want me..and hell was afraid I'd take over......so I was destine to live forever!...LOL
