Charles's Story
Life
After I graduated, I worked for a year and then began a long academic career. I attended MCC and after receiving my AA got drafted. In the army I met a Christian who told me that without a personal faith in the Lord Jesus, I would go to hell. I didn't readily accept this, but a seed had been planted. I began professing atheism, and my life got more and more messed up with drugs, drinking and pleasure-seeking. His triumphant resurrection. That changed the whole course of my life and eventually led to my becoming a missionary and going to Colombia, S. America at the age of 31. There I met my then future wife, Lydia, who was also doing missionary work. After a year of marriage, we went and worked 4 years in Belgium in a small church. We then spent a year in Saltillo, Mexico. We have now been the last 27 years working in a small church outside of Washington DC, seeking to reach lost souls for Christ and raising up our family in a godly fashion.
