Shirley's Story
Life
I attended Our Lady of the Lake College, University of St. Thomas and Houston community College. I went to HCC in the eighties to get an associate degree in Business Management specializing in Human Resouces. I used to own a costume
design shop for approx 5yrs. And I worked in real estate for many many years in the Houston and Katy area. Also I worked in religious education for a number of years as well. I am married
to Leroy James POlk, jr who I went to high school with . We didn't date until college however. We have three children, Pam, Mike and Mary listed in order of birth. All are married. We have two grandchildren,Justin and Kaitlyn who live in Gahanna,Ohio with their Mother Pam and Dad Bryan Pfile. Mary has a step son, Garrett who lives
with his Dad and Mary in Wallis, Texas

in 1999 and has no children yet. At present I am a Beauticontrol image and beauty consultant. I give makeovers and image advise to interested individuals.
I work out of my home.
Leroy and I like to travel. This year we have been to Ohio, Las Vegas and South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. We will be heading for Ohio again in Sept. and Washington D.C. in October.
My favorite place to visit is Montana and Idaho. We have been there a couple
of times and I love the scenery and the
cool weather.
I am also writing a novel. This is something I have always wanted to do. I have written several things but never have published them. Maybe one day I will get the courage to do so.I spend most of my time working on my family history. Geanology is a hobby of mine.
I like to sew, do crafts,write and surf the internet.
