Marlene's Story
Life
I'm married to the same nice guy I wed in 1963. Graduated from University of Florida with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and Music Education. Started teaching but daughter #1 came along, Monica and just substituted for awhile. Daughter #2 Lisa and #3 Cheryl came later and we all moved to Indialantic in 1974. I started working at Holmes Regional Medical Center doing clerical in Nuclear Medicine, then switched to Medical Records, Quality Assurance and finally retired after working 3 years in Human Resources, a total of 20 years! I'm still working with my music as Choir Director at St. Sebastian's by the Sea Episcopal Church and doing solo work whenever possible in weddings, funerals, special cantatas and community works. i in 2003 while one daughter is living there! Most recently we traveled to Cambridgeshire, England for our middle daughter's wedding to a wonderful Brit! I'm looking forward to hearing from anyone in my class or those near. I graduated 1960 from Seacrest High School in Delray Beach, FL but also keep close tabs on my classmates from A.S. Draper Central School in Schenevus, NY where I went to school the first 10 years of my life.
Update 2006- Let's see, we did get to Hawaii and Alaska after that! Now we are working to bring our newly purchased property in Andrews, NC up to par so we can have guests up! I was blessed with the Class of '60 reunion last summer and saw so many of my classmates. That makes 45 years!!! Hope even more can make it for the next one at 50 years! By walker or wheelchair, I know I'll try my darndest to be there!
