Life
It took me a while after high school to smarten up, but I did. I went to college and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Mental Health and Human Services. I have an 23 year old daughter, Kristy, who I'm extremely proud of...she's both working and going to college full-time. My husband, Rich, and I own a home in Ellsworth, but recently moved to Rhode Island. After working at General Electric for twenty years Rich was offered a great career opportunity with a company in Rhode Island so we've been here a little over a year. cause it's easier than trying to explain what an senior applications engineer does! I was pretty burnt out in the mental health field so shortly after moving to RI I decided to go to school for esthetics...finished that and then went on to learn permanent makeup. I think I've found my niche, as I absolutely love doing it.
Workplace
Since graduating from college I've always worked with teens. First at Acadia, then as the Juvenile Drug Court Case Manager for Kennebec county, and then as a case manager investigating child abuse/neglect cases.
I'm now looking for a spa to work at and a place to do permanent makeup.
