Michael's Story
How to start 31 years ago I enlisted in the US. Army as an Infantry soldier. I deployed overseas to Germany and spent nearly 14 years in Europe. I got to visit all the hot spots France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Denmark, and England to name a few places. I married a pretty German woman named Anita back in 1982 and have been married 27 years. We have a daughter named Patricia who is 15 years old. I returned to the United States in 1991 and was stationed in Fort Benning GA, with the 3rd Infantry Brigade (3rdID). of years in GA then was moved to Florida as a Army recruiter. Recruiting was the longest 3 years of my life and I was happy to leave it and return to the Infantry. I was stationed back at Fort Benning in the 3rd INF BDE until I retired. I worked for Dyncorp while I was going through Troy University to finish my Master Degree in Education. After I graduated from Troy I again found work with the Department of Defense as an Instructional Systems Specialist designing training for our Infantry Officers. Thats it in a nut shell.
