Karen's Story

I am on Facebook as Karen Williams Thompson and I live in PA. The latest news....Divorced on December 11, 2008, I got married in September, 1977 to a guy from Grantham, PA who was in the Air Force at the time. Two days after we married, we moved to North Carolina. We lived there for two years (had child #1...a daughter), then we moved to Germany for three years (child #2...a son), and then out to Las Vegas, NV (adopted child #3...a daughter), for almost eleven years. Finally moved back to the Harrisburg area in 1993, when my husband retired. Now, I have three children and five grandchildren. My father died on September 3rd, 2007 and my mother died on April 25th, 2010. Ex-hubby died on October 1, 2021. I got engaged on Christmas day 2021, but my fiancé died of Covid on February 3, 2022. I have several "favorite hangouts"... especially at home, church (Life Center Ministries International in Harrisburg) variou...Expand for more
s Starbuck's, Panera Bread, Barnes and Noble, but no more coffee for me as of May 8, 2023. On a low acid diet now. Besides, I do not need the caffeine. Energetic enough! I enjoy being a homebody...reading my Bible or a good book with a cup of tea, but no more wine either. I also love to go out to dinner with friends (especially if it is for Sushi or a rare steak.) I love the outdoors...especially camping, walking, hiking, and being at the beach (whether in/on the water or on the sand, but pass the sunscreen, please.) My favorite thing is listening to music ANYWHERE. I read a wonderful piece of fiction (I usually don't read fiction) called "The Shack." I really enjoyed it. Well...If I tell you too much about myself...there will be nothing more to know. Gotta have some mystery!!!
