Mike's Story
Life
I have recently retired fro my job after 33 years. Now I enjoy working for myself and picking up 2 of my grandchildren after school.
They are only 3 and 4 but we have a lot of fun together. I have a dog, named Bear, who is my very close companion. I love him dearly.
I am still searching fo the love of my life, I once thought I had that but I guess I was wrong. I also love doing volunteer work. It does make you feel good and is very worthwhile. I still run a youth flag
football league that I helped start almost 30 years ago. I love to travel and once in a while I will go to a casino or two. I have 5 ch...Expand for more
ildren and 9 grandchildren. I see my 2 daughters and their sons more than any of the others. I am thinking about starting to bowl again. I used to like that very much.
Military
I served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. I served 2 years at a submarine base in Holy Loch, Scotland. I served 6 months with a Navy
" underwater demolition team " of 4 men, 3 of whom are now deceased, off the coast of North Vietnam. My last year was spent in
Norfolk, Virginia. I loved the service and 15 years ago I vounteered to go to Kuwait, but was told I was too old and greatly out of shape.
