Martha's Story
Life
My biggest accomplishmens are, being married for 42 years to the same man, having 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 and 1/2 great-grandchildren. We are a very close knit family. My husband Cecil and I are both retired. I worked here in Ripley for E.W. James for 17 years until health problems forced me to retire early. Cecil worked as an Iron Worker for 35 years and bad health made him retire earlier than he wanted to. We like to travel, and fish. We have a club house o...Expand for more
n a local creek known as Cold Creek. We have a camper trailor we like to use as often as possible. We also like to travel with my brother,James Jackson and his wife Myrtle Jackson.
Up date: I now have 9 great-grandchildren. In January, I will be celebrating my GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY, GOD WILLING. Yep, that is a long time with one person.Some said it wouldn't last. Well of course it all hasn't been sunshine, Something you just have to dig your heels in deeper and hang in there.
