As you see by my graduating in 1948 from Whitman High School, I am an elderly lady. I went to work in the fall of 1948 at the Brockton Office of the Telephone Company which was at the end of School Stree t at that time. I worked there until 1953 when I transferred out to Ventura, California. I met my first husband there and we got married in Las Vegas. He was a motor cycle police officer in Ventura. We then moved to Las Vegas and he became an officer at the Vegas police department. My first child was born there and our friends fro Calif came and called her Nevada Rose. We named her Susan Allyce.We stayed there for another few years and again moved back to Ventura. I worked at the Port Hueneme C.B Base (Construction Battalion) and then worked at Camarillo State Hospital. I worked at Point Mugu which in the late '40's was the U.S. Naval Missile Test Center.
