Rhonda's Story

School School..what can I say about my years at Griffin High School? A LOT!! First of all IM GLAD IT'S OVER! :) I have been remembering those years more and more often these days, I have a 14 year old step-son with MANY questions if u know what I mean. I especially remember High school sweet heart Jason Hobbs, what a sweety he was! Walking me to classes, picking me up after school, even though he left early, those pull over on side the road moments just to eye gaze, his big High School jacket that made me feel so secure, our meaningless cruises through town(why did we all do that?),our multi trips to Six Flags..haha(only Jason knows what that means)together he and I learned how to love! I will never forget my 2 best friends Julie Farries-Ford and Christie Gordy. We had some crazy fun! Me and Julie in Mr. Brown's class..hehehe!our Eddie Murphy imitations, our 5 page notes to each other, long talks about BOYS,we shared some crys in coach Martin's class...-boy!our crazy photo taking days, we took LOTS of pic...Expand for more
tures!(I'll never forget you Julie Elizabeth Farries Ford!!!!!!!) I named one of my daughters after her. Christie and I lived the definition of -REBEL-!!! It began with skipping school, then it led to every thing from A-Z! We did some late night fun stuff,we laughed so hard together that we would almost wet ourselves :) But we were not always bad! We even got our very 1st job together at Griffin's famous Western Sizzlin...boy was that just loads of fun to go to work with your best friend, we went mud boggin in her little escort hehehe !!Drivers ED--3 point turn arounds....hehehe!!we were together when I met my later to become husband, she and I experienced a lot of life together! We even had to learn how to grieve together----the tragedy death of our best friend Julie Farries-Ford.................. The most important advice that I can give my children when asking of my high school years. 'Live in the moment', and make each day count for what you have intended b/c tomorrow it will be yesterday.
