Robert's Story
Life
So far I am single with no children. I currently live in Grand island, NE alone and am not seeing anyone at this time due to my hectic work schedule. Since leaving hom eto join the US Army, I have lived overseas and on the East Coast and in 1996, I left teh service and moved back home where I remained until June 2001 when I moved out of my folks' home into an apratment in Grand Island, NE, with some friends. The friends moved out in 2003 and I have been living alone ever since.
Workplace
Since Apirl 2002, I have been working at Travelcenters of America at their Alda, NE location. I am currently Lead Truck Technician there and have held that position for a year and a half now. I started out there as an entry-level truck technician and was promoted to the lead position in November 2004.

ort Jackson, SC, and Airborne Training at Fort Benning, GA. After Airborne School, I was assigned to USAREUR initially and later ended up with the 149th Maintenance Company in Hanau, Germany, where I remained for three years. in January 1994, I was reassigned back to the States and served wit the 2nd Battalion(Assault), 82nd Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NE, serving there until my discharge from active duty in December 1996. While at Fort Bragg, I also assisted in the replacing of my units truck inventory with FMTV(Family Medium Tactical Vehicles) and also served as unit vehicle recovery operations specialist while in Germany and at Fort Bragg. I also learned in my 6 years of military service to troubleshoot, diagnose, & repair most every military vehicle the Army had in use during that time and it has helped me immensely in my present job as Lead Truck Technician for TravelCenters of America in Alda, NE.
