Pat's Story
Life
I moved to Redlands from Los Angeles when I was 11 years old. My years at Smiley Elementary, Cope JHS, and Redlands HS have left me with lifelong memories. Following high school, I attended the University of Oregon where I played football and baseball. After a short couple years in the California Angels minor league organization, I returned to Oregon to finish my degree in Physical Education. I've been teaching PE to middle school students in Gresham, Oregon ever since. I've coached just about every sport imaginable, but have spent most of my time coaching VOLLEYBALL for the past 23 years. I've coached at the high school and middle school levels, and coached year-round volleyball with the Nike Northwest Juniors Volleyball club. I retired from teaching in 2010 but continue to substitute a day or two each week.

interests include photography, hiking, and fly fishing.
My wife, Deb, and I are both retired teachers (32 years).. We have 2 kids. Kevin is an avid snowboarder. He runs Aedion Aesthetic, a snowboard/skateboard shop in Ashland, Or. His company is launching a new clothing line in June, 2011. Kimberly is a Special Ed teacher in Battleground, Washington. She graduated from the University of Oregon where she played on the UO's volleyball team.
My brother and sister also migrated north. Denny lives in Eugene, OR and Brenda lives in Eureka, California.
We get back to Redlands from time to time. I still think of it as home despite being away for 35+ years. I keep in touch with Artie Salvesen and Butch Edge and try to read the Redlands Daily Facts online. I would love to hear from any of my classmates to swap stories and just catch up.
