Delilah's Story
Life
A year after graduation I joined the Air Force and retired after serving 26 years. I moved seven times (Virginia, Texas, South Carolina, Nevada, Japan, Ohio, and Florida) and traveled alot and never got married (got a few marriage proposals though) or had any kids. I'm enjoying retired life and I'm going to college to get my degree in business administration since I couldn't seem to finish it while I was in the military. I hope to have that completed by 2007. Life is good. Since I retired I don't get to travel as much as I did before and my most recent trip was to Atlanta to visit a good friend who got married in October 2008. The trip was great and made Thanksgiving even more special.
Life Update
Well the last four years have been a roller coaster ride. Did get to do more traveling for happy and sad occasions. Still never been married and no kids but life is great. Living near the water gives you a new respect for it and the views are priceless at times. Church is awesome and singing in the choir takes on new meaning. Last bus trip (Memorial Day weekend 2012) was to South Carolina and had a great visit in the Sumter area with my fellow choir members. Didn't run across any old friends or family which would have made the trip so much sweeter.
Life Update #2
2013 has been a very interesting year. Had to endure surgery and continue with health issues but I won't let that take the smile off my face or the joy from my heart. I'm excited what 2014 is going to bring especially after reconnecting with old friends after no contact for 20 years plus.
College

p the coaster when I got my associate's degree in business administration this year (2007) in May. I plan to continue on to get my bachelor's and only God knows how it's gonna turn out. I started the bachelor's in Jan 2008 and hope to be finished in Spring 2010. I'm shooting for Dec 2009 but that may be a tall task.
College Update
Well I managed to get my bachelors degree in 2011 in project management. With the economy the way it is might have to go for the masters.
Workplace
This year (2007) while in my last semester of college, I worked as a VA work study and the workplace had a lot going on. I met some very unique individuals and continue to do so everyday. Now I'm working as an employment security representative in the same workplace (temporary position) for the summer and I can't complain cause I'm employed for the moment. As luck would have it, I was chosen to be a project coordinator and oversee a grant for disabled veterans. This has been interesting (also temporary till Jun 2009) and getting to meet more interesting people has broaden my view of civilian life especially in these economic times.
Workplace Update
Since working as a VA work study, I managed to attain several positions at the same workplace (project coordinator, employment security representative, and customer service representative). I have a new found respect for those in the customer service realm. Currently working as an office administrator and it's a blessing.
Workplace Update #2
While working as an office administrator I was in a temporary position for 13 months. I've now been transitioned from temporary to permanent and the journey continues (love my coworkers).
