Kai's Story

Life After graduating from High School I became a University overachiever followed by University burned out drop out. Then, some friends and I decided that Homesteading might be educational and fun. The experience gave me a ton of amusing anecdotes and the ability to literally create something from a whole lotta nothing. After a while, I got tired of starving and not having the money to live the way I would like to live, so I went to Nursing School, did two years of hard time on a trauma/surgical unit and then ended up right where my mother said I would....in prison. 20 years to Life in 8 hour increments as a Correctional Nursing Supervisor at the Arizona State Prison. I thought that I had found my niche. I'm told that I had the perfect bedside manner for the place. I was recently released from Prison (resigned 12/31/06) and have been doing Agency nursing with an eye toward being a traveling nurse. At any rate, it brings in enough money to support me and allows me to travel occasionally. I have a trailer so that I can take all the comforts of home and still get to see some of the splendid scenery in this part of the world. You can find my chronicles at kyrakai.livejournal.com.
