Lynne's Story
Life
I moved to California in late 1984, and married a fellow New Yorker(Troy) - Mike Purcell in Lake Tahoe in '85. I can't believe we just celebrated our 22nd anniversary! We have 3 kids - Harrison 17, Patrick 14, and Alexandria (Allie) 12. I'm a Realtor in Northern California, but contemplating early retirement after a back/neck injury, and a few surgeries that made things worse instead of better... I guess you can never know the twists and turns of life.
I still enjoy writing, gardening, photography,community activities, friends,and traveling with my family. ...Expand for more
I do miss my friends and family in NY, but I don't think I could ever leave this beautiful place. For those that say, "I'd miss the change of seasons," well, where I live we have 3-Spring, Summer and Fall. And if you want winter with Skiing and SnowBoarding (my younger son LOVES it!), it's a 3 hour drive from my house. One year I remember throwing snow balls in my shorts and sandals at the summit of Tahoe and then sunning at Tahoe's beach later on. Amazing.
