Life
Debunking a few rumours about me since my time at RBRHS - YES, I got into some trouble and I went to another area school for a brief while. It was okay at first but soon sucked even more than Red Bank did, it was preppie city and even more narrow-minded. YES, I eventually left school altogether and got my GED (Good Enough Degree). NO, I wasn't ever on anything illegal and NO I didn't get pregnant. YES, I did run off with a well known area miscreant but NO we didn't get married. I dumped his sorry butt in 1996 and moved to NYC where I got myself a studio apt in the East Village. Hooked up there with an old friend, the first guy I'd ever taken an interest in, someone I met in 1987 while hanging out in Washington Square park with Laurie Costa and Harley from the CroMags. So we dated for a few years and got married in 2000. He's just like me in all the ways that matter. We do not now, nor ever will have kids. We have a parrot and a few tarantulas, and that's our...Expand for more
family. We're working stiffs, he's in mass transit and I do flowers. Nothing overly glamorous, but we're happy. The nicest thing about living in New York is that I can blend in, nobody shouts FREAK! at you from moving cars or throws things at you. The worst thing about living in New York is that people try to kill you by flying planes into buildings and trying to blow you up while you ride the subway. 15 years here has toughened me up a lot and I'm way more self confident than how I was as a kid. The flip side of this is that whenever I'm outside my home turf I can come off with a bit of an attitude. I see now why people migrate out of here to the burbs in the first place, it does make you crazy after a while and it's certainly no place to raise up kids, even if you're loaded rich. Okay so if you've read this far you're up to date on me. I'm fine, and glad to be away from NJ. All the people I liked from the school days are gone, they aren't joined up here at least and some are more than likely dead or in institutions. If you are one of them, I wish you well. I still have old pics and things to remember the parties, Marine park, spanish II class, and the beach. The people I didn't like back then are hopefully now fat, 40ish and miserable. Que sera sera, and gabba gabba hey!
