Life
Greetings all. Like many of you, I stayed in the Chicagoland area for quite some time after high school and college. I attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL and graduated with a degree in Personnel Management. After college I started a brief career in Retail Management (worked for K-Mart for almost 2 years) but then found my true calling in the insurance industry. I worked for MetLife in Aurora, IL for almost 10 years and worked my way up the corporate ladder. I primarily stayed in the underwriting area and after 10 years there, knew it was time to move on so I took a job with another Insurance carrier in, of all places, Lincoln, NE. Moving from the Chicagoland area to Lincoln, NE was quite a change, therefore, realized that that wouldn't last too long. rry a great woman (Jennifer) from the Lincoln, NE area and relocated us all to Lenexa, KS, a suburb of Kansas City. Jennifer, Ashley and I moved there for three years and as fate would have it, we left Lenexa for the friendly confines of Lincoln, NE once again. I once again joined Ameritas Life Insurance Corp and manage the Group Underwriting area for our Northeast and Southeast Regions. Since returning to Lincoln, we decided to settle down and recently committed to this area by purchasing a new home in 2005. Right now, we call this home with our two dogs, two cats, rabbit, two minature hamsters and a number of fish (Ashley is a pet fanatic and has to have pets in every room of the house). I've managed to keep my loyalties to the Big Ten and have not tranformed into a Cornhusker Fan, however, am constantly under pressure to join the Big Red Nation. Oh well, that's pretty much it in less tan 5000 words ...
