Thomas's Story
Life
Hey, WHS'ers (Go Dogs!), college friends from SIU-C (Go Salukis!) and also to my childhood classmates at St. Damian's in Oak Forest, IL (Go Lancers!) and Transfiguration in Wauconda (Go Chargers!)...thanks for stopping by and reading my corner of the internet; I hope this note finds you happy, healthy, and doing well!
I'm happily married to my first & last wife, Stacey, since September 30, 2001 (19 days after 9/11--ask me what traveling on our honeymoon was like during that time!) and our son, Dylan Nicholas, came along on April 16, 2005. I'm proud to say I am one of those Dads who is absolutely nuts about his son and I am so glad to be able to spend a lot of quality time with my family since leaving the "safety" of the corporate world at the beginning of 2007. I've started my own promotional products marketing/consulting firm that allows me to work out of my home office...I've made it my personal goal to never...Expand for more
drive my Honda Civic Hybrid in rush hour traffic ever again--unless I absolutely have to.
My interests include: playing drums, collecting MAD Magazines, playing ice hockey, and writing poetry (I've been published about 20 times, as recently as June, 2009). I have also been a freelance entertainment writer and have gotten to meet two of my rock idols, Bob Dylan and Bryan Ferry, and have also covered Bruce Springsteen in my rock writing past.
I am currently trustee in my hometown in central Lake County, IL. As of April, 2009, I was elected to the office of Trustee.
Our lives are just so much more than what a little blurb like this might offer; so, please drop me a line and let me know you visited; perhaps you might leave some contact information, too. If not, "May the good Lord be with down every road you run" ("Forever Young", Rod Stewart, 1988)..."and may you stay, forever young" ("Forever Young", Bob Dylan, 1973).
