Pamela's Story

Life Moved to Boyd/Decatur in 1983. I have three grown children, a son and 2 daughters, and 4 grandbabies, with another granddaughter due 7/2015. I was a stay-at-home mom until the kids were in Jr. High and then I started my own wallpapering business. After nearly 10 years of hanging paper, my Daddy started a gutter business and asked me to help him until he could hire a worker. Seven years later I was still hanging gutters with my Daddy. (Always was a daddy's girl!). Got tired of the construction jobs and wanted a change. Something "clean and girlie". In 2004 I went to school for an Esthetology license. Immediately after getting my license I started working as an Esthetician out of a room in a Keller Salon under my own business name, "Lasting Touch Facials & Skincare". When my youngest daughter, who was working as a massage therapist, got pregnant, she...Expand for more
encouraged me to go to school and get my license and take over her clients because she didn't plan to work after the baby was born. So In 2008 I obtained my massage license and took over her clientele. With massage, I feel I finally found my "calling". Due to some life changes, I moved to Bridgeport in 2013. With gas prices at an all time high, I said a prayer, traded in my Tahoe for a Kia Soul, left the Salon in Keller and took my massage business "mobile". I had a sign put on my back car window advertising my business, "Lasting Touch Mobile Massage" with my phone number and I started booking appointments doing in-home table massage and corporate chair massage, special events and parties. My daughter is now back working with me on some of the corporate chair jobs. She's a hoot and I'm having lots of fun working with her! Life is good. I'm very blessed!
