Jill McKechnie's Story

Life Looking at this website has certainly peaked my curiosity about all of my old classmates. Please feel free to e-mail me to say hello, I would love to hear from you! After graduation (in Great Falls, MT) I attended MSU-Bozeman for 2 years, then decided that school wasn't my "thing" for that point in time. I moved to Phoenix in 1992 with my boyfriend/future husband and worked at an upscale hair salon as a receptionist. (The most boring job I've ever held!) In 1993, we moved again to Huntington Beach, CA for my fiance to attend the College of Oceaneering in Long Beach. During this time I was employed at Merrill Lynch in Torrance as an administrative assistant for a group of stock brokers. ided to start my own daycare ~ which would allow me the joy of raising Hannah and still be able to help provide for the family while my husband attended MSU. In 1999, (while still running the daycare) I began attending business classes at MSU and simultaneously separated from my husband. Our divorce was finalized in May 2000. I earned my BS degree in Business from MSU in May 2002, and have worked at MSU in the Chemical & Biological Engineering Dept since 2003. I got remarried to a wonderful man, Robert Brenden who unfortunately succumbed to Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and passed away in 2017. However I was blessed by the birth of my grandson David in April 2018. Life certainly has its ups and downs, but I am determined to make the best of my situations.
