Stacy's Story
Life
After I graduated from UW Parkside, I went to med school in Milwaukee. I initially wanted to do Psychiatry, but after doing a 2 month rotation in Neurology, discovered that was a much better fit. So I came to LSU in New Orleans to do my residency and then did a fellowship in Neuromuscular diseases. I fell in love with a local while I was here and now I'm stuck here for good! At least until I retire. It is SOOO hot here. A Wisconsin winter is MUCH easier to tolerate than a Louisiana summer! My husband, Mike is a neurologist too. ots of time travelling and seeing as much of the world as possible. Our next trip is to Vienna, Prague and Budapest. I still keep up with speaking fluent Portuguese from the year I spent in Brasil. I don't get to use that often though. Bummer.
I do have a bunch o' really swanky nieces and nephews - 9 so far! My brother Barry has 3 kids. The oldest is starting college - oh my god I'm old. Plus Barry is super successful and has a superdeeduperdee great wife. We both turned out so good. <sniff> The older of my two little brothers just had a son August 08. My husbands siblings make up for the rest of the nieces/nephews.
