Life
Well, it has been quite an interesting time since graduation from HWW, let alone since the 10 year reunion.
At the latter, I was enjoying a career in aviation, flying mostly locally in the western provinces and a little into the US (west coast and from Calgary to Texas). Then, the BIG change happened........children.
Actually, it was not just that event that changed my direction. To be honest, a few deaths of fellow pilots in precarious situations, combined with the fact I wanted to spend as much time at home led me to make a career change.
Now, I am an oil and gas landman. I have consulted for the past 7 years, but accepted a full time position in late 2005 with a firm and am absolutely enjoying it.
Now, to the important stuff..........I have 2 fantastic, wonderful, fabulous, incredible, intelligent (no...Expand for more
t like their dad) kids. I have a son, born in '96 and daughter followed in '99. Again, I think they are the greatest gifts in my life, along with Jane.
We still live in Calgary. Jane is still teaching, this time at another private school that is located on the old CFB Calgary base. Both our children go to this school and love it. We travel a bit more now that the kids are more grown and can stand the drive or flight.
Yes, I am still doing my clay target shooting. I will probably never give that up, current and future legislation permitting. No, I am not a Ted Nugent, nor a card carrying member of the NRA. I love my sport, but am not into being a lobbyist.
That is enough about me for this space. It would be great to receive a note from my fellow HWW Class of '83 grads and see how y'all are doing.
