Martha's Story
Life
I have had a rather ordinary life since graduating high school. I went to Carnegie Institute and studied to become a medical assistant. I then worked for a doctor for 4 years, during which time I met and married my husband, Harold. We have 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 4 step-grands, and 2 grt-grands. Both daughters have taken up the big rig driving. Our son was in the Navy for 20 years, and retired June 2007. . He made Chief Petty Officer in 2006, and after retiring took a civilian job with the Navy, and moved to Guam That sort of covers the family.

many crafts, art projects, and other needlework---crochet, knitting, and all those types of skills.
My husband was a carpenter for many years, and then went to work for the Public Works department in our small city. He has been retired for about 12 years. He has become interested in needlework---cross stitch, needlepoint, and quilting.
We have helped raise 2 of our grandchldren. Their dad died 8 years ago when they were quite small. They have been a great joy to us, and I miss them so much now that they are living full-time with their mother and step-family.
That's about it---seems kind of short considering that this should cover 50 years of my life. Ohhhh! How can that be? I'm only 39 years old!!! LOL
