Maureen's Story
Life
Well, I married my High School Sweetheart, Jimmy, and 36 years later we're still going strong. We have 2 "children" Jim Jr., 33 & Kathleen, 32. Kathleen blessed us with our first grandchild 5/8/01, Nikolas, and he is the light of our lives. I went to college after my kids were 3 & 4yrs. old,'73, and finally earned an Associates degree in 1992. Had worked as a Dental asistant 'til '87 when I joined my husband's Manufacturer Representative company on a "temporary" basis. Well it's 2002 and I'm still there as Secretary/Treasurer of the corporation and Jim & I have managed not to strangle eachother over the years. It's now 2018, Jim & I celebrated our 52nd anniversary and we are "Semi-retired" down in Hertford,NC.
Our family has expanded, we now have 5 grandchildren. Kathleen now has 3 boys 15, 16, 17.
Jim Jr. has an 11 yr. old daughter and an 8 yr.son. Kathleen & family are down in GA and Jim Jr. is up in CT. It is about an 8-1/2 hour drive to either of them so we are on the road a lot.
Fortunately, Hurricane Florence stayed well South of us so we had no problems here in Hertford, which is in the NE corner of the state. All y'all stay well My Best,, Maureen (Mo)
