Frank's Story
After graduating I spent almost four years in the Navy, making two WestPac cruises on aircraft cruises to the Gulf of Tonkin.
I started court reporting school at night while still in the Navy. Finished court reporting school and worked as a court reporter for 29 years, 24 for the San Diego Superior Court, retiring at age 52 in 1999.
Since retiring I've worked as a volunteer at the courthouse in Vista, Ca., and also served a three-year term as a member of the San Diego Sheriff's Parole Board.
My favorite pasttimes for the last several years have been meeting with friends weekly at a local mircobrewery and drinking very good beer and socializing....Expand for more
My wife and I also travel the country in our motorhome, visiting probably all the states west of the Rockies, all of the east coast and the south and southwest.
I have been married to the former La Donna Simoneaux, class of 1967, for 40 years this September. We have two sons, Chad and Chris, ages 36 and 35, and two grandkids with another due in February of 2009.
We have lived in the San Diego area for most of those 40 years, with one year in Phoenix and one year in Salinas, Ca. We have lived in Carlsbad, Ca., for almost 11 years now. It's a beautiful town on the coast 30 miles north of San Diego. God's country.
Life couldn 't get much better.
