Shelia's Story
Hello!
I am married with a blended family of seven - and no one is more suprised than me that I have SEVEN. The oldest is in college - wants to be a viticulturist and enologist. The youngest is six and wants to rule the world. My kids have been homeschooled the past few years. They are great kids - funny, intelligent, kind-hearted - such a blessing to us.
I am married to a man I met online nine years ago -he moved from Melbourne, Australia to Pauls Valley, OK to marry me and we have been married nearly eight years. He is my best and dearest friend, my running buddy and the absolute love of my life.
I am a Physical Therapist Assistant. I became interested in this field because one of my sons is multi-handicapped. He is blind and autistic. An extremely intelligent, amazingly cool, quirky individual who never ceases to amaze us and whom I feel blessed to have...Expand for more
in my life. I primarily work in pediatrics part-time but my favorite area to work is geriatrics.
My life has taken some interesting twists and turns full of heartache and happiness. I wish everyone the best.

We now have three in college. YIKES! My third son is a Sophmore 4.0 Honors student and not even 18 yet! Doesn't know what he wants to be - at the moment he just wants to be a rock star! My husband is now in college - working towards becoming a CPA. In November, my special-needs son had to have a kidney transplant. He has an even rarer subset of a rare disorder and the need for a transplant came as a complete surprise. The quickest anyone ever got a transplantat St.Anthony's was six months from beginning to end - he got a new kidney in less than two weeks thanks to the sacrifice that his birth father made! God is good!
