Ann's Story
Life
When I think of the satisfaction and fulfillment that teaching my students in a Special Day Class In Los Altos gives me, I don't know how I lived without it. The work is so interesting, my children are so compelling and I can work with more autonomy than in regular education. In my 15th year of teaching, I have cultivated a therupeutic Robin Williams type of instructional style that seems to be effective for reaching children with learning problems compromised by poor memory, shaky self-esteem and fleeting attention.

z as I am. She attends the school where I teach. (Loyola Elementary School in Los Altos)What fun to walk two doors down the hall to kiss or embarass her at will! This kind, beautiful, hilarious child is the joy of my life. And for now she actually enjoys belting out show tunes with me and her imaginary friend, "Bob," in the car on the way to work. Later when she is twelve, she will hate me, but for now, I will enjoy each moment.
Sam, my husband and her father, is an engineer, but we have found a way to communicate with him. We have had promising success in helping hiim locate his "inner spaz"! We are a small, but happy and busy family.
