Cassie's Story
Life
I married Joe Roberts (Class of '91) in 1999. We've just moved back to KY from PA where we lived just north of Philly. We were only and hour and a half by train from NYC and DC where I love to go every chance I get. However, we were about 10 hours from Morehead...
On Jan. 26. 2006 we were joined by our daughter, Amy Caitlin. And on October 13, 2007 our litte family grew by one more as our son, Samuel Kenneth, came along. They are absolutely perfect in every way! And we had to get them back to KY to be near family.
Making the move with us is our two pugs, Chester & Daisy. They think they're human.
I had a major car accident in Oct.'03. My family has informed me they did not know if I was going to make it. I, in my moriphine induced state of mind, knew I was going to be fine and would have told them so if only they had asked. The whole thing has made me a bit more philosophical about life and far less tolerent of the crap that tries to ruin it. I am absolutely fine now. All bones are healed and working properly, I don't even have a limp (yes, I did limp for a while)!
School
Yes, I still have dreams about RCSHS!

Workplace
After graduation from MSU with a BA in Speech Communications, I moved to Louisville where I became the Administrative Assistant to a Financial Advisor with AMEX. AMEX took me to Houston, TX where I was a Assistant Financial Planner with one of the top advisors in the country.
Shortly after we were married, Joe accepted a job offer in PA and upon the move I became the Office Manager for a local construction company. After a year and a half I took a job in center city Philly as the primary Office Manager for a career placement firm (with sattelite office in NYC, Boston, and LA). I stayed with them until the stress became way too much and I had smoothed my teeth by grinding them in my sleep. I then became a part-time Bookseller with Barnes & Nobel and absolutely loved it! As I tell anyone who asks, I got to talk to differnet people all day about many subjects.
Well, I left the bookstore. I loved it but with a baby on the way we could use more than $7.25 an hour. So, until Caitie came I pretended to be a legal secretary. Now I am home as a full time mother of 2 and loving every moment of it!
