Charlotte's Story

I Charlotte Hunt known as P-Nut in school left Centerville High after my junior year, because my parents moved to Lafayette so I attended and graduated from Acadiana High in 1988. After I graduated I sat out of college for a whole year and worked and just enjoyed life. In the year 1990 I attended USL and went there for 3 years and decided to take a break for awhile. In 1991 I was introduced to a young man who was in the Army and at that time stationed in Fort Leonardwood Missouri. He and I dated for 2 years and in May of 1993 we were married. After we got married we moved to Bamberg Germany. Our oldest daughter was born in Germany in September of 1994. After leaving Germany we moved to Elpaso Texas and we were there for about 7 months, until the whole unit was moved to Colorado Springs. We loved Colorado and just as we started to love it we got orders again to move back to Germany and we were there for 3 years. While in Germany we traveld to Spain, Czech, Italy and loved every minute of it. In 2000 we moved to Fort Leonardwood Missouri where we had our second daughter. We lived in Mi...Expand for more
ssouri for 5 years and then we got orders to move again and now here we are in Atlanta Georgia and have been here for about 3 years. I am not going to say that I love it here, because as soon as I do we are sent somewhere else. My hubsand and I have a wonderful realtionship he is my best friend and a wonderful father to our two girls Ariana 13 years old and Aubree 4 years old. My husband and I have been together for 17 years, but married for 15 years. My husband Bernard is still active duty in the army and have been for almost 21 years. It takes a strong woman to be able to deal with a military man because they are always gone. I remember when I was expecting our second child he left when I was 3 months, and he arrrived home two days after our daughter was born and was only home for two weeks , before he had to leave and go back. When his time was up in Iraq to come home our youngest daughter was almost 6 months old. Now he's asking for another child and I don't think that's going to happen I do believe that we are done. We are truly blessed with our two girls and that's all we need.
