Lisa's Story

Life 9/21/08 "I SURVIVED IKE I SHOULD HAVE LEFT LIKE TINA DID" Just to let everyone know we survived Hurricane Ike with minimal damage to the house and no power and water for a week. We had to cancel our Wedding plans for 9/13 so we married on 9/11 the night before the storm. We are all fine and safe. The first hot water shower, was like eating white chocolate covered strawberries in Heaven. I won't stay for the next one, it got a little scary at about 4am. I have one blessed daughter named Cassandra who is 18 and graduated high school this year, and a beautiful stepdaughter named Ericca who is 17, and a stepdaughter who serving in the Army at Fort Hood TX. I have two grandsons, since I have all daughters, I spoil them rotten. Me being a military brat lived about everywhere, I am an accountant and now live in North Houston (Conroe), Texas. I sure miss Ms. Jenkins, at Jefferson Elementary and Mr. Katayama at San Marcos High School. Mr. Canham at Fremont Jr. High. They were my favorite teachers and influenced me the most. My Dad retired from the Military in 1990 and still worked for the government. He remarried a wonderful woman and they now live in Florida. My dad passed away 12/8/03 from an unexpected illness and is flying high in that F-5 right now.(I Love and Miss You Dad) Growing up I wanted to be a fighter pilot like him but ended up in accounting. But I still love to fly and those wild rollercoasters. I moved from AZ to CA at the end of my freshman year. I am a gourmet cook (Like my dad) a...Expand for more
nd love to be outdoors. I am a football and Nascar Fanatic. Go "Texans and Jeff Gordon" I love to fish. I want to reunite with my old school buddies and keep in contact. I have a cockatoo named Charlie. We adopted 2 kittens in July 2002 named Houston and Brooke and a Yorkie named Chico and all are spoiled rotten. I am married and am the happiest I have ever been. We have been together for almost 9 years. I am blessed with a wonderful family and right now would not change a thing in my life. I hope to catch up with old friends and reunite some day. School In Elementary Ms. Jenkins was the most inspiring person. At Fremont Jr. High, Dan Woods (CA) was my first true Love. My best friends were Lisa Cooper (CA) Lorena Ortega (AZ), and Lori Roach (CA). Randy Baker was my biggest crush(AZ). I remember at San Marcos High one day on the last day of school Joel, Pat, Taj, and David had a fire extinguisher filled with water and we stood across the street, spraying everyone with it as they were driving out of the parking lot after school was out... Military I am an Air Force Brat. My father flew many planes like the F-4, F-5, F-100, OV10, helped design the F-16. I was born oversees and have lived all over the world. My father retired a Lt. Col. at Eglin AFB, FL. I lost him unexpectidly in Dec 03. I will miss him always. My dad taught me a lot about military life and how to experience different cultures. I thank him everyday, for instilling those valuable lessons I learned from him everyday growing up.
