Lisa's Story

Life I'm very happily married to a wonderful man and have a beautiful little girl named Grace that just turned 6. We also have a dog, Bosco who at times drives me crazy but is so cute is hard not to love. I work part-time as an executive recruiter which I like and gives me something to do while Grace is in school. Other than that, I spend most of my time with my family and a few close friends. I still love the arts and going to the theatre and out to nice restaurants. I work out several times a week and when the weather is warm, I power walk with a girl friend or my i-pod. I now live in Milwaukee which took some getting use to when I moved here from Indianapolis but now like it. The schools are excellent and it's a great place to raise a family. That's about it for me. Hope all is well with everyone else. School Biggest crush, best teacher, funniest memories, craziest times. Hmmm, here goes.... Biggest crush- I guess I would have to answer Michael Keast but he was also my first love so I don't know if that counts. Teacher- Mrs. White, she inspired me to work hard, study hard and value an education, not that I didn't already with two teachers as parents. She challenged me to push myself more than any other teacher I have ever had including those in college. Funniest times- hanging out with Becky, Jon and Tracy. Driving around in Jon's car, listening to music like the Smiths, New Order and Depeche Mode. Doing nothing was fun with these 3. Also remember very fondly hanging out with Leanne and having her as a friend. Some good times with Laura and Heidi, Sue and the two Chris's in my class. Chris Ebert was my schience buddy and band stand partner. We had a lot of fun in those two classes. Chris Keith was a great friend all through high school and then one of my best friends in college. He was there for me and helped me the most when my Dad passed away. Fun times in general- girls soccer was a good memory for me. Homecoming weeks and parties on the weekends. Craziest- Rearranging furniture in strangers homes. Still can't believe we were never caught or arrested. Getting drunk during lunch hour during finals week and still managing to get straight A's. Kicking in the front door to the school when I had to deliver doughnut...Expand for more
s. Somehow I got there at 6:30am not 7:30am and I decided kicking the door to get someones attention would be a good thing. If anyone knows me, how I ever got anywhere too early is almost impossible to believe. In general, I have very fond memories of high school. I had a ton of fun and still stay in touch with a lot of people. I love it when we can all get together for drinks over the holidays. College I had a very different college experience than most people. I went to 3 different schools in 4 years. Knox College, The University of Iowa and Salzburg College in Austria. My best memories of college involve funny times with Lynda Barton and Rondy Roy and then my senior year I met Chris Chase at Younkers and we had a lot of fun both at work and at play. Some of my best memories include hanging out at the Yacht Club with Myra and dancing to all the live music. Playing pool at the Que with Rondy and his friends or dancing at One Eyed Jakes. I also have good memories of hanging out at Joe's place, goofing around in my dorm room with Lynda and the two Dan's down the hall. Hanging out with Brent Dye and Paul Amsted. Dancing at Halsey Hall. Of all the great things that I experienced in college, none was better that studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria. I had the opportunity to dance with the ballet there and travel all of Europe. I had the most incredible internship with the Bank of Austria and I am still good friends with the guy I worked with there. I've been back 3 times now to see him and his family and they came once here to visit us. It's amazing to have friends abroad and a welcome place to stay in another country. Workplace Right out of college I moved to Boston, danced with the Boston Ballet and met my first husband at BayBank, the bank we both worked at. Moved from Boston to Chicago and took a job recruiting with Robert Half International in 1995. I loved this job and living in Chicago. I was promoted to a management position, moved to Indianapolis, promoted again and then transferred to the Milwaukee office, all with Robert Half International. I then became a stay at home Mom until 2006 when I took a job with The Novo Group doing executive search. I'm still with Novo today working part-time and enjoying it.
