I attended Temple University where I earned a B.S. in Accounting. I moved to the Washington, D.C. area in 1969. I have an MS in Taxation degree from American University. After graduation from Temple University,I worked in various positions at the Internal Revenue Service. My first position was that of an Internal Revenue Agent. Subsequently I was a manager at the Philadelphia Service Center and at the headquarters in Washington D.C. After 26 years, I decided that I had enough time working for the government and was able to get an early retirement. About a year earlier, I took the CPA exam and passed it. I then was ready for my new career outside the government. After leaving the government, I started my own tax practice and taught an accounting principles course at Benjamin Franklin University (which has since gone out of business).
