Rebecca's Story

Hi good old friends. It's 2011 amd we have just moved back home. My husband and I are living in Burr Ridge. It's just wonderful to be back home connecting with family and old high school friends. To briefly fill you in on my life since I graduated: A year after graduation I married Tim Burdon. Tim was drafted into the Army and served 2 years near Paris in France. I followed him and we lived off the base in an old French home. It was a really fun 1-1/2 years exploring surrounding countries. On our 29th anniversary (l987) Tim passed away. The kids and I moved back home and I remarried in 1997 to Glenn Hudrlik. At the time Glenn was a professor of Physics at Wright College in Chicago. We lived in Oak Brook for 8 years and then moved to the mountains in Tucson, AZ. We spent quite a bit of time in Jackson Hole, WY. because that was my husband's fav...Expand for more
orite place to ski. I tried it a few times and got hurt every time so I quit! Anyway, when he retired we moved to the mountains of Tucson. We stayed there for seven years and last year was my 6th year as a cancer survivor so we decided to move back home to be near loved ones and bought a condo in Burr Ridge. It's so good to be back. 03/25/2018.: Since that time, after 2 cancer surgeries I'm cancer free after 12 years, while in Tucson my daughter Julie passed away at the age of 48. We continued to raise her son, Tim and now he is the father of 2 little girls (which makes me a great grandmother). And last year we moved up to Madison, WI to live near my son and his family. It gives me the chance to interact with my 2 granddaughters. We are getting old but life is always GOOD! I hope all my fellow classmates are enduring! Becky (Jones, Burdon) Hudrlik
