Robert's Story

Life Howdy Folks- this is kinda weird but here it goes- I went to the university of Buffalo in fall of 90. The first day I met the lovely Jennifer Kalenik who would later become my wife. I graduated in Spring of 95 ( yes 5 years ) with a bachelor of fine arts in illustration. During my final year of school I moved into an apartment in North Buffalo. I stayed in Buffalo after graduation. I spent a few months trying to make it as a free lance illustrator. I got a few gigs but not much so I started working at an art supply store. I spent a year doing that and kinda got into selling and out of art. In the summer of 96 I started working for my current employer - Dival Safety Equipment. I'm se...Expand for more
lling wholesale safety equipment for construction & industry. It's a far cry from drawing comic books. ( my origional goal upon HS graduation ) but its a wonderful company and I'm doing great. I got married to Jennifer in July of 97. This summer we built a house in Grand Island, NY. ( a suburb of Buffalo ). We'll hopefully pop out a few kids in the next few years as our careers allow( Jen's a scientist at Life Technologies ). That is pretty much it. Pretty much the only person I stayed in touch with all this time from Clarke was Steve Mergentheimer. I hope we'll have a reunion sometime soon. Seeya 12-5-04 Update: On March 15th 2004, Jen gave birth to our first child - Evan Parker.
