Mark's Story
Life
After graduating high school I entered the Air Force and moved to Michigan where I worked on B-52G aircraft and married my first wife. After a couple years I moved to Frankfurt, Germany and worked on C-130's C-9's and T-39 (Lear Jets) and my first child was born. I had the opertunity to travel to parts of Africa and all around the Mediteranium. There was some not so fun times like assisting with the movement and identification process of the Marins killed in Lebinon. I spent 4 years there and moved to Abilene Texas and worked on C-130's.
From Texas I traveled the world, literaly. I spent lots of time in Central and South America and I traveled extensivly throughout Europe. I was there when the Wall fell. I was involved with taking Noriega out of Panama and escorting him to Florida for trial. I was also participated in sending support for Haiti when it was in distress. I was sent to Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm. I was there before, during and after. I had two more children and divorced my first wife. . My x had the kids then by fate I got my three kids back
We moved to Germany, this time in Kaiserslautern. Here I did some more traveling but not as much, I promoted myself out of most of the trips. I went back to school while supporting the Bosnia Campaign and received my BS degree. ...Expand for more
Itayl was a blast. From here we moved to California.
I was selected for the Maintenance Manager position in the AMOG. We were the 911 of the Air force. Our primary job was to respond to humanitarian relief around the world like the hurricane that hit Honduras, the Tsunami that hit Indonesia and removing the Doctor from Antartica. Our second job was to provide presidential airlift support while overseas. President Clinton traveled a lot, we would depart to set up points for refueling and maintenance along his itenerary. We would return 3 weeks after Clintons return. Slovainia is a beutiful country.
I left the Air Force and had a great job in the tech industry as an engineer making the equipment that made microchips. That was an awsome job untill the market crash after 9-11. I was the new kid but I lasted till the third wave of lay-offs. I tried my hand at self employment, although the income was good, it was not consistant. This led my back to the market place where I now work in a multi tasking position manufacturing pipe organs. My company put in the organ at the LDS Conferance Center in Salt Lake City. We just completed the organ At the new Nashville Symphony (not yet open) and a huge organ in Dallas at Park Cities Prebyterian Church.
I can't believe it, but I now have 12 grand kids
