Frances's Story

Life My husband, Frank - OLS 1961, died from Alzheimer's on April 27, 2010. We were married for 45 years. He was diagnosed in April, 2007 and it progressed very rapidly. 2 boys - 45 & 43. 1 girl - 40. Oldest son is married and we have 2 grandchilden, Frank Firek the 5th. 3-8-05, and Ashton Firek 9-8-09. r reading tutoring program at a Detroit inner-city elementary school for 5 years. I had 30 tutors, and we tutored over 80 first, second and third graders one-on-one, each up to 5 times a week. The program ended June, 2004. Now I need to decide how to fill my days. I'm sure being a Grandma will take up a lot of that time.
