David's Story
Life
I have been living in NC for a LOOOONG time, now, after the Army....yeah, the one I joined the summer after graduation. I decided NOT to be a soldier, and stayed in NC, where I met a wonderful girl and married in '77, so we have been married 28 years this (2005) Christmas. I have been a middle school science teacher for 18 years (remember Mr. Pastorelli in junior high?), but the students always make life interesting. We have 2 kids, Kathryn (1981) and Zach (1986); she is married and he is in college, so life is different, now, as many of you can apprecia...Expand for more
te! We spent several years teaching in Kuwait (I spent 5 there), and found that enjoyable, so we are looking at maybe going back overseas somewhere for a few more years. Eileen has retired after 30 years teaching, but is willing to suck it up and have another go....the money and travel are good incentives, as is being tax-free. We have bought several pieces of land in Cashiers, NC, in the mountains along a trout stream, and I hope to die fly fishing or riding my motorcycle, since it probably won't be during sex....
